This acacia tree stands on the grounds of the National Dryland
Farming Research Center at Katumani, Kenya, part of the Kenya Agricultural
Research Institute (KARI).
The Plan of Action adopted at Phase
I of WSIS calls for all universities and research institutes to
be connected to the Internet. While Katumani is not yet connected
to the Internet, plans have been made to accomplish this before Phase
II. We will post updates here as Phase II approaches.
